Who these policies cover
These policies apply to services sold by Rousseau Financial Inc. under the Guildbury and Journal of Sidequests names. Workshop memberships, classes, and other purchases sold by independent workshops using Guildbury are governed by the selling workshop’s terms. The seller is identified during checkout.
Pricing, currency, and payment
Our advertised prices are in United States dollars (USD). Guildbury platform pricing is confirmed in the onboarding agreement before billing. The Journal of Sidequests publication fee is $50 USD per accepted article unless an editor grants a waiver. Any applicable taxes or agreed additional services are disclosed before you pay.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered through the applicable Stripe payment flow, rather than sent to our support email. Your invoice or checkout identifies the service being purchased.
Digital delivery
Guildbury is delivered through online access to the software. Activation, onboarding, and billing dates are confirmed before service begins. Journal publication is delivered online after acceptance and completion of manuscript preparation. We communicate the publication process with the author.
This website does not offer physical goods for sale. Shipping and physical return policies therefore do not apply to these services.
Guildbury cancellation
You may request cancellation through your account’s available billing controls or by contacting customer support. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and stops subsequent renewals. Charges already incurred, including platform fees on completed transactions, remain payable. Fees may be invoiced after the period in which they accrue. A request received after a renewal has already occurred applies to the following renewal. We confirm cancellation by email.
Refunds
Paid Guildbury billing periods and platform fees are generally nonrefundable. We do not provide prorated refunds for unused time, reduced usage, or a change of mind.
Journal submissions may be withdrawn before acceptance without a publication fee. After acceptance and payment, author-requested withdrawal or a change of mind does not normally qualify for a refund. If we cannot provide the paid publication service for reasons attributable to us, we refund the publication fee.
We correct confirmed duplicate or incorrect charges and provide refunds where required by applicable law. These policies do not limit rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Requesting help or disputing a charge
Email customer support with the brand or service name, invoice number, charge date, and a description of the issue. We investigate billing errors and service complaints and communicate the outcome by email. Please do not send full card numbers or passwords. Contacting us does not remove any rights you may have through your payment provider or under applicable law.
Promotions and service restrictions
No general free trial or promotional discount is offered on this website. Any separate promotion will state its eligibility, duration, price after the promotion, and cancellation terms before purchase. Services are available only where we can lawfully provide them and process payment; you must not use them in violation of applicable sanctions, export restrictions, or other law.
